He was predeceased by : his parents, Mat Moore and Hazel Moore (Spradlin); his siblings, Lendell Moore, Ronnie Moore, James Edward Moore, Jr. and Martha Lou Duncan; and his grandchild Kelsey Moore.

He is survived by : his children, Gary Moore (Nikki Wilson) of Pine Knot, Barry Moore (Mary) of Pine Knot, Larry Moore and Sophia Strunk (Roger); his grandchildren, Noah Moore, Sampson Strunk, Paul Strunk, Jacob Moore and Peyton Moore; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Carson and Raelee.
