He was predeceased by : his parents, Arnold Kelly Simpson and Etta Ball Simpson; and his siblings, Jackie Ray Simpson, Patricia Spradlin, Sandra and Shirley.
He is survived by : his children, Doug Simpson (Laquia), Dana Heilig (Michael), Daphne Henderson (Mike), Cadence Anderson and Adelyn Cordell; his brother Wayne Simpson; and his grandchildren, Noah Simpson, Aiden Simpson, Elle Heilig, Alex Worley and Jerikah Henderson.
