He is survived by : his wife Carol Hayes; his daughter Kathy Hayes (Robert Pittman); his siblings, Bob Hayes (Helen) and Sandra Gilreath; his aunt Ruby Thigpen; his grandchildren, Rebecca Leigh Pittman, Kylie'Ann Hayes and Robert Westyn Hayes; and his close friends, Ronnie Kidd, Mike King, Ronnie Stephens, Phil Chaney and Marcus Bryant.
