With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roland Edward Sumler of Pine Knot, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilie Oscar Sumler and Nancy M. Sumler (Stephens); his wife Emma Alice Sumler (Brown); his daughter Nancy Smith; and his siblings, Estes Sumler, Ray Sumler, Morris Sumler, Bobby Sumler, Coy Sumler, Christine Day and Wilma McHale.
He is survived by: his son Roland Edward Sumler, Jr. (Terri) of Ormond Beach, Florida; his brother Paul Sumler of Whitley City, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Roland Edward Sumler III, Carlye, Corena and Bobbie Jo.
