He was predeceased by: his mothers, Bass Hoskins (Sara Napier Hoskins) and Sara Napier Hoskins; and his siblings, Lawrence Hoskins, George Hoskins, Robert Hoskins, Daniel Hoskins, Fred Hoskins, Cloie Hendrickson, Wilalene Brock and Evalene Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Lorene Johnson; his daughter Melissa Marie Hoskins; his stepgrandchildren, Larry David Beverly, Melissa Misty Baker (John), John Ross Baker and Haylee Renee Beverly; his siblings, Walter Hoskins (Mary) of Pontiac, Michigan, Barbara Howard (Gary) of Greenwood, Indiana and Martine Weitzel of Hamilton; his great-niece Kelsey Lora Jean Saylor; Jordan R. Baker, Jacob Ryder Saylor, Jayden Hudson Saylor and Larry Beverly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
