She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold William and Helen Elizabeth Martin Welch; and her brother John William "Butch" Welch. She is survived by: her husband William Kenneth "Willie" Shipley; her children, Kathy White (Gary), Kimberly Frost (Craig), William Shipley (Andrea), Thomas Shipley (Pawranee) and Grant Shipley (Leah); and her sister Mary Ida Welch. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cumberland Gap Ward Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (2063 TN-63, Cumberland Gap, TN 37724). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Yoakum Cemetery.
