He is survived by: his wife Carol Cox Southerland of Pineville, Kentucky; his children, Michael Southerland of Pineville, Kentucky, C. J. Southerland of Pineville, Kentucky and Shelley Southerland Brock (David) of Pineville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Savannah Southerland, Cooper Brock, Tucker Brock, Ryder Southerland and Ellie Grace Welch Southerland; and his siblings, Leroy Southerland Dean Southerland (Paul) and Anna Sue Gray. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
