He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Slone Watson and Columbus Slone-Watson; and his siblings, Earl Watson, Infant Boy Watson, Qwen and Annette.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes Marie Smith-Huff; his daughters, Karen Williams (Doug), Connie Kennedy (Sonny) and Ashley Howard (Brian Mullins); his sister Mickey Speaker; his grandchildren, Whitney Brodt, Jessica Lindsay, Delilah Howard, Cole Rosely, Lucas Spencer and Randy Williams; and his nieces and nephews, Roderick Walsh, Wayne Walsh, Robert Walsh, Jeffrey Watson, Ronnie Watson, Arlene Watson and Mary Walsh. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Hindman Chapel (125 Parks Rd, Hindman, KY 41822).
Leon personally requested in lieu of flowers to enjoy a dinner on his behalf.
