He was predeceased by : his father James Earl Wright. He is survived by : his wife Faye Wiley Wright; his mother Magdalene Stephens Watkins of Prestonsburg, KY; his daughters, Arrington Jade Wright and Ariel Black (Billy); his close friend Blu; and his siblings, Steve Wright (Francine), Jim Wright (Gail), Tom Wright, Ronald Wright, Diana Crider, Sharon Robinson (Mallie Jr.), Brenda Wright, Tammie Hiatt (Greg), Jennifer Glaspie and Threasa Wright.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Allen Baptist Church (354 US-23, Prestonsburg, KY 41653). A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
