He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgel Davis and Olive Ann "Nannie" Patton Davis; and his siblings, Edgel Delano Davis, Johnny Darrell "Pickle" Davis, Franklin Elmo "Trigger" Davis, Thelma Davis Osborne (late Dickie), Brenda Davis (late Charles Centers) and Sally Davis Adkins (Adam-Living).
He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Prater (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Sophia Prater, Rosalynn Prater, Jeremy Davis, Josh Davis and Jordan Davis; and his sisters, June Davis Combs Salyers and Sandy Davis Manns (Roy). He is also survived by Several Great Grandchildren, and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Martin (7 Clinic Dr, Martin, KY 41649). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
