In the sacred silence of farewell, Ernest is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ernest's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Patton and Beatrice Honeycutt Patton. He is survived by: his wife Dena Bartley Patton; his siblings, Charles Lee Patton (Julie) of Paintsville, KY, Kenneth Patton of Prestonsburg, KY and Linda Hager of Prestonsburg, KY; and his sister-in-law Diann Moon (Daniel) of Prestonsburg, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Irene Cole Memorial, 157 S Front St. Prestonsburg, KY 41653.
