With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Slone of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Slone and Alice Prater Slone. He is survived by: his wife Dora Slone; his children, Thomas R. Slone (Leslie) of New Castle, Kerry Slone (Jill), Greg Slone (Robin) of Paintsville, Randall Slone (Ruby) of Lexington, Ronnie Slone of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Connie Ford of Prestonsburg and Alice Faye Slone of Florence, Kentucky; his siblings, Gary Slone, George Slone of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Winnie Mae Keathley, Ella Sammons, Ada Marie Lafferty of Prestonsburg and Garnett Oldfather of Warsaw, Indiana; his grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua Slone, Christopher Nickelson, Hillary, Gunner, Natalie Slone, Amber Leigh Noel Davis, Zachery, Mitchell, Adam, Sarah, Morgan Slone, Abigail Iles, Laura Nicole Harless and Julie Ann Ford; and his great grandchildren, Brooks Taylor Davis, Emmaleigh Addison Davis, Paxton Slone, Avery and Harper Nickelson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Prestonsburg (234 S Lake Dr, Prestonsburg, KY 41653). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
