He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shepherd and Joseaylen Rowland Shepherd; his sons, Paul Sizemore Jr. and Michael Shepherd; and his brother Ronald Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie Prater Shepherd; his son Thomas James Shepherd (Laurie); his grandchildren, Austyn Shepherd, Michael Shepherd and Sara Abigail Shepherd; his great grandchildren, Mila Elizabeth, Harrison Ellis and Delilah; and his sister-in-law Patricia Duddleson.
