He is survived by: his wife Jane Rice Spurlock; his daughter Rebecca Jane Spurlock of Lexington, Kentucky; his brothers, Burl Wells Spurlock of Prestonsburg and Daniel "Danny" Wheeler Spurlock of Delray Beach, Florida; and his grandson John Archer Ziggy Spurlock.
