She was predeceased by: her spouse Robie Akers; her parents, Clay Meade and Nancy Riley Meade; her son David Akers; and her siblings, Charlie, Sam, E. Howard, Eugene, Ray, Noah Meade, Edna Blanton, Zella Mae Salisbury and Juanita Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Brandon Spears (Summer) of Banner, KY, Phillip Akers (Cathy) of Harold, KY, Tim Akers of Martin, KY, Tashea Goble (Lee) of Ivel, KY, Tabatha Spears of Pikeville, KY and Priscilla Akers of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
