He is survived by: his wife Ida Ann Conn Meade; his children, Phillip Joseph Meade (Gwyen) of Martin, Jesse Dean Meade (Linda) of Martin, Levi Meade (Tammy) of Hippo, Kentucky, Bertha Garrett (Gary) of Prestonsburg, Ida Fraley (Chris) of Morehead and Faith Ann Meade of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; and his sister Shirley McKinney of Printer, Kentucky. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Martin (7 Clinic Dr, Martin, KY 41649). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
