He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Patterson Cooper; his children, Melissa Wellborn (Michael) of Princeton and Elbert Cooper of Eddyville; his sister Sue Merrick of Princeton; and his grandchildren, Devin Wellborn, Alicen Reed (Landon), Elizabeth Cooper (TR), Darien Wellborn (Onia), Hannah Cooper (Zackary) and Jacob Cooper. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
