With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John L Benton of Princeton, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Harlin and Ruth Benton (Williams); and his brother Thomas Benton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Paula Sanders Benton; his children, John "Brent" Benton (Amy) of Louisville and Abbey Belt (David) of Paducah; his brother David Edward Benton (Linda) of Peachtree City, GA; his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Benton of Wentzville, MO and Ron Sanders (Melinda) of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren, K. P., Noah Benton, McKenzi Simmons (Nathan), Parker, Keiler Belt, Emma Grace and Elizabeth Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Emmett and Reid Simmons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
