He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lewis and Mary Cleaves Lewis; his wife Pearl Cooper Lewis; his children, Martha Ann Jackson, Rita Walker, Terry Hampton Lewis (Kathy) and Jeff Jackson; his siblings, Charlotte Weaver, Danny Wayne Lewis, Tommy Lewis, Linford Lewis and Chuckie Lewis; his stepgrandson Scotty Edward Walker; and his great grandchild Terry Desmond Traylor.
He is survived by: his daughter Joy Taylor of Princeton; his stepchildren, Judy Ortt (Ronnie) of Caldwell County and Randall "Bo" Jackson (Kim) of Princeton; his brothers, Roger B. Lewis of Princeton and Stevie Lewis of Grand Rivers; and his grandchildren, Shimberly Cansler, Marty Vincent, Chelsea Vincent and Adrainna Lewis. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
