He was predeceased by: his grandfather Phillip Lewis Sheets; his parents, Donald Harry and Katherine Marie Sheets; his wife Linda Kay Sheets; his sister Elissa Nichols (Jim); his son Jonathan P Sheets; and his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Frey and Nathan Lewis Frey.
He is survived by: his daughter Lee Ann Frey (David); his grandchildren, Matthew Frey (Ashley), Zachary Sheets (Emily) and Alison Sherman; and his daughter-in-law Trish Blair.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arch L Heady Funeral Home (2428 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
