He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Dever Kirk; his children, Kevin Thomas Kirk (Caskie) of Danville, Virginia and Elizabeth Kirk Truelove (Danny) of Maryville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Dylan, Rowan, Helen, Jameson Kirk, Hadley and Wesley Truelove; his brother Jon Alan Kirk (late Judy); and his mother-in-law Julia Dever (late Robert H. Jr.).
