He was predeceased by: his parents, Adra Hill and Edna Felker Hill; his son Paul Kevin Hill; and his siblings, Anna Rose Hill Massey, Dr. Arnold Hill, Col. Leo Hill and Rev. Owen Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Babcock Hill; his children, Emily Young of Florida and Lewis Edwin Hill, II of Florida; and his sister Shirley Cunningham of Tennessee. He is also survived by one granddaughter; several beloved nieces and nephews.
