He is survived by : his wife Angela Powell; his children, Samuel L. Powell, Jr., Samon Powell, Derik Kurtz, Conner Moore, Shericia, Briana Powell, Sara and Katelyn Moore; and his sisters, Thelma J. Powell and Mae Frances Daniel (Merriett). He is also survived by Grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
