He is survived by : his wife Ann Elizabeth Ferguson of Rineyville; his sons, Raymond Henry Holding (Angela Sue Titus) of Parker, CO and Kevin Christoper Holding (Wendy Peña Cruz) of Ft. Knox, KY; his brothers, Mark Richard Holding (Susan) of Lompoc, CA and Bruce Allen Holding (Avic) of Melbourne, FL; his stepson Joshua David Dohrer (Stephanie Lee Davis) of Sellersburg, IN; his grandsons, Michael Allen Dawson of Lexington, KY and Tyler Bryce Holding of Elizabethtown, KY; and also Susanne Pauline Bridges (Holding). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chism Family Funeral Home (769 Highland Ave, Vine Grove, KY 40175). The military honors was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
