He was predeceased by: his parents, Menzie Wheatley and Patricia Wheatley; and his sister Carolyn Wheatley. He is survived by: his children, Jason, Michael, Chris Wheatley and Courtney Wheatley; his siblings, Larry, Jerry, Billy, Ronny, Tommy, Jeff Wheatley and Judy Scholl; and his former wife Mary Wheatley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church (108 Main St, Raywick, KY 40060).
