He is survived by: his wife Sarat Kumari Mohanty; his children, Ranjan Mohanty (Monica) of Aurora, Ill. and Sucheta Meena Mohanty of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Nikhil Mohanty, Sahil Mohanty, Vijay Blevins and Sanjay Blevins.
