It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calvin Mabson (Richmond, Kentucky), born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Mabson Taylor; his stepfather Ethelbert Taylor, Sr.; his father Calvin Wright; his sisters, Mary Magdalene Taylor, Joan Carol Taylor and Victoria Lee Taylor; his nieces, Nakeisha Denise Taylor and Amaya Taylor-Sandifer; and his in-laws, Charley and Marrina Hignite.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hignite; his children, Victoria Lynette Mabson, Calvin Mabson, Jr. and Travis Mabson; his siblings, Pauline Taylor, Mattie Graves, Debra Taylor, Karen Young, Ethelbert Taylor, Jr. (Donna) and Andrew Taylor; and his sister-in-law Joann Craft (Gregory). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
