It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Coleman Whitaker (Richmond, Kentucky), who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Brutus and Nellie Marie Miller Whitaker; and his siblings, Elmer Masters, Betty Spears and Stanley Whitaker.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Kilburn Whitaker; his children, Raymond Clay Whitaker, David Alan Whitaker (Teresa), Terri Atherton (Dennis) and Carmyn Kelly (David); his sister Kathy Whitaker; and his grandchildren, Derek Kelly, Ashley Baker, Kalynn Dessenko, Kristyn Kelly, Dennis Atherton Jr., Chelsie Peters, Amanda Brown, Holly Whitaker and Tyler Whitaker. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home (1110 Barnes Mill Rd, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.
