We announce the death of Edna Gadd Thomas of Richmond, Kentucky, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 84. Edna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Gadd and Dorothy McQueen Gadd; her husband Lowell Thomas; and her siblings, Marion "Toe" Gadd, Laurence "Bert" Gadd, Odessa Faye Lainhart and Patricia "Tish" Robbins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Trina Abrams (Marshall) of Richmond and Cathy Murphy (Jimmy) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Ashley Coomes (Adam), Daniel Abrams and Nicholas Murphy (Brooke); her great grandchildren, Hunter Murphy and Avry Coomes; and her siblings, Kenny Gadd, Bobby Gadd (Belinda), Freda Thomas, Brenda Gadd (Jimmy) and Donna Gadd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home (328 W Main St, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Rosedale Baptist Church, 411 Westover Ave., Richmond.
