She was predeceased by : her parents, Jim Mays and Ora Gross Mays; her husband Walter Marshall; and her siblings, Madeline Perkins and James Mayes.

She is survived by : her sons, Calvin Marshall (Teresa) of Richmond, KY and Marvin Marshall (Tammy) of Richmond, KY; her grandchildren, Walter Scott Marshall (Christina), Deana Brandenburg (Eric), Brandon Marshall (Amy) and Donny Marshall (Emily); and her sister Brenda Pitman (Clarence Bradley Dennis). She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
