He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Allen Ward; and his grandparents, Johnnie, Beulah Ward, Leon and Virginia Turner.
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Jo Turner Ward; his children, Dalton Ward (Lauren) of Moyock, NC and Darcye Howard (Kyle) of Lancaster; his grandchild Baby Howard; his brother Jason Ward (Monica); and his nephews, Ashton Ward, Landon Ward, Braydon Ward and Colton Ward. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Red House Baptist Church (2301 Red House Rd, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Gilead Baptist Church Building Fund, 1271 Poosey Ridge Road, Richmond, KY 40475. Jonathan was a recipient of an organ donation last year, and it was important to him to encourage everyone to be an organ donor if they are able.
