It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Proffitt of Richmond, Kentucky, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Elwood Hunt and Edna Poynter Hunt; her son Thomas Dwayne Proffitt; and her pet Lizzie. She is survived by : her husband Thomas Proffitt, Jr.; her son Woody Darrell Proffitt (Jamie); and her sister Brenda Diane Hunt. She is also survived by other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Judy are suggested to either the: Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475, or to the Madison County Animal Shelter, 1386 Richmond Road N., Berea, KY 40403.
