She was predeceased by : her parents, Burley Malicoat and Alice Young Malicoat; her husband William H. Spires; her stepfather Norman'Cotton'Carpenter; her brother Bobby Malicoat; and her granddaughter Jenny Marie Anglin.

She is survived by : her daughters, June Frank (Jack), Pam Thacker and Iva Wolfe; her grandchildren, Jessica Beth Thacker, Daisy Wolfe, Hailey Davis, Kristina Willis, Kelli Schalk and Matthew Frank; her sister Della Mae Berry; and her nieces and nephews, Mark, Randy Berry, Bart Malicoat (Sue), Tom Malicoat (Amy), Doug Malicoat (Becky), Shery Dinkle (Herb) and Tracy Peck (Bill). She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home (203 N Dogwood Dr, Berea, KY 40403). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
