He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorene Elkins and Joe Elkins; and his wife Frances Elkins. He is survived by: his children, Robin Elkins and Scott Elkins; the mother of his children Maxine Bowen; his grandchildren, Jessica McVey, Reagan Read, Reanna Lobb (Jonathan Lobb) and Jared Elkins (Ashley Elkins); his great grandchildren, Kindal Read, Haylee Hunt, Lane Elkins, Kyleigh Read, Conner McVey, Wyatt Elkins, Colt Elkins, Emery McVey and Laira Lobb; his great great grandchild Jazmyne Myers; and his sister Jorene Garrison (Kenny Garrison).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home (328 W Main St, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
