He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Brown and William Claude Brown; and his sisters, Arnella Hall (Dale) and Helen Rae Brown. He is survived by: his siblings, Denny, Charles (Doodle) and Mattie McMillan; his wife Wenona Brown; his sons, Shane Brown and Michael Ponder; and his grandchildren, Jason Ponder, Rachel Brown and Caleb Brown.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Richmond Church of Christ (1500 Lancaster Rd, Richmond, KY 40475).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
