He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Rhorer and Thelma Foster Rhorer; his son Derrick Cox; and his brothers, Rocky and Delbert Rhorer.
He is survived by: his children, Johnathan Alcorn of Berea, Shawn Cox, Dustin Cox of Richmond and Samantha Sparks (Keven) of Berea; his siblings, Randy Rhorer, T. J. Hoover and Donna Rhorer; and his grandchildren, Aiden Cox, Trace Alcorn, Bella Sparks and Chanelle Sparks. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
