He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Red'Nelson Nelson and Jewell Forehead Nelson; and his brothers, Emmett Wayne Nelson, Wesley "Wacky" Nelson and Jerry Ray Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Nelson; his children, Tammy Nelson Goodwin and Jonathan Terrel Nelson; his daughter-in-law Becky; his siblings, Betty Gunterman, Judy Durall, Donna Ellis, Angie Miller, Rondal Nelson, David Nelson and Roger Nelson; his grandchildren, Jared Nelson (Haley), Natalie Nelson, Kasey Nelson, Samatha Bittel (Jordan) and Brittany Thurmand (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Beckett, Baylor, Evie Bittel, Marley, McKinnley and Clayton Thurmond. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
