He is survived by: his wife Beverly Peay Boykin of Rochester; his children, Angie Shephard of North Carolina, Ryan Peay (Kelly) of Beechmont and Shannon Austin (Johnny) of Rochester, Kentucky.; and his grandchildren, McKenzie Parrish of North Carolina, Kali Hayes of North Carolina, Justin Peay (Grace) of Beechmont, Joseph "JoJo" Peay (Makayla) of Greenville, Shelby Austin Robinson (Ethan) of Rochester, Olivia Austin of Rochester and Trey Austin of Rochester, Kentucky.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
