He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Gillum and Daisy Mae Bandy Gillum; his wife Carol Ann Gillum; and his brothers, Charles M. Gillum and David Lawrence Gillum.
He is survived by: his son Walter Dallis Gillum Jr. (Beverly). He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two nieces and one nephew.
