He was predeceased by: his parents, Esom Helton and Mossie Grant Helton. He is survived by: his son Joe Kidwell (Natalie) of Corbin; his grandchildren, Jeremy Callihan, Jerelle Brotherton, Jerika Gerton, Jade Kidwell and Jared Kidwell; and his brothers, Gary Helton (Peggy) of Rockholds and Buster Matlock of Rockholds. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flat Creek Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
