He was predeceased by: his daughter Amy Lynn Shupe; his brothers, Donald and Mitchell Shupe; his grandson Jace; and his parents, Mitchell Shupe Sr. and Sallie Cox Shupe.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Loretta) of Rockholds, KY, Phillip Shupe Jr. of Texas, Donnetta Shupe of Rockholds, KY and Jack Mincey (Taylor) of Corbin, KY.; his grandchildren, Alexandra Shupe, Joseph Shupe, Myra Shupe, Rebecca Shupe, Austin Shupe, Hunter Shupe, Brylei McKee, Brysen Wilson, Emry Mincey, Elowyn Mincey and Thea Watson; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Burgan (Eugene) of Rockholds, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (103 S 2nd St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Shupe Family.
