He was predeceased by: his parents, Hassie Anderson and Artie Anderson; his sisters, Lucile Wheeler and Aileen Day; his former wife Geneva Lee Anderson; and his spouse Jackie Beck.

He is survived by: his daughters, Phyllis Spear (Gene) of Bowling Green and Mary Lou Sallee (Lowell) of Rogersville, Alabama.; his sister Janice Shultz; his grandchildren, David Spear (Sara), Daniel Sallee (Jennifer), Jennifer Holt (Kelly) and Rebekah Penner (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Alex, Trenton, Austin, Jackson, Karson and Savannah.
