He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Wells and Thelma Wells; his brother Leeland Wells; his grandchildren, Missy Perkins, Thomas Wells and Logan Dailey; and his brothers-in-law, Grant Holley, Tobe Badgett and Eugene Wilburn.
He is survived by: his wife Teri Wells; his sisters, Aloma Wilburn of Rush and Adele Holley of Rush; and his children, Shannon Wells (Dawn) of Catlettsburg, Patricia Dolin (Terry) of South Point, Thomas Wells (Tina) of Ashland, William Wells of Grayson, Medley Thompson (Michelle) of Ashland, Jeremy Thompson (Cindy) of Ashland, Kara Feller (Chris) of Rush and Karl Thompson (Eulala) of South Shore. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Garner Missionary Baptist Church in Rush, Kentucky.
