He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sr. Fryer and Mary "Liz" Salyers Fryer; his siblings, Earl Fryer, Jr., Zella May Daniels, Betty Lou Davis, Janet Viola "Vie" Wright-Halley and Carl Lee Fryer; his mother-in-law Delores "Puger" Fryer; and his aunts and uncles, Blain and Zella Salyers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stamper Fryer; his children, John Wayne Fryer, Jr. (Leanila "Dilly") of Rush and Amandy Fryer (Tommy Estepp) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Casey Michael Lynn Criswell, Jonathon Blain Fryer, Kelsey Jo Virginia May (Dakota) and Amber Rose Gullett (David); his great grandchild Kinley Jo Lynn May; and his siblings, Eddie Fryer of Rush, Denver Fryer of Grayson and Theresa Miller (Jim) of Grayson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
