It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Blankenship of Russell Springs, Kentucky, who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Charles departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herald Roe and Mallie Jane Stephens Blankenship. He is survived by: his wife Diane Blankenship of Russell Springs; his daughter Madelaine P. Blankenship Long (Colby) of Brentwood, Tennessee; and his brother Rodney Blankenship (Ada) of Russell Springs. He is also survived by three sisters.
