It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Leon Bowlin of Russell Springs, Kentucky, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Leon Bowlin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Bowlin and Maxie Spears Bowlin; his daughter Leona Bowlin Cary; his son-in-law Chris Cary; and his grandson John Russell Bowlin.
He is survived by: his son Chris Bowlin (Brenda); his grandchildren, Alex Cary, Stacy Cary, Blake Bowlin (Sarah) and Landon Bowlin; his sister Cathy Johnson (Bobby Redmon); his niece Tiffany Bean; his great-niece Rylie Smith; his great-nephews, Phillip Cornelison and Keith; and his close friend Wanda Vonfumetti.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bernard Funeral Home (367 Main St, Russell Springs, KY 42642). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International for Bible placement.
