He was predeceased by: his parents, Nina Sharp (McFarland) and Walter Sharp; his wife Wanda Faye Sharp (Branscum); and his brothers, William Dudley and Philip Hugh Sharp.

He is survived by: his son Bill Sharp (Debbie) of Russell Springs, KY.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
