He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Douglas and Effie Richardson Douglas; his wife Judy Chumbley Douglas; his brother Floyd Douglas (Hazel); and his brother-in-law Hack Pittman.

He is survived by : his son Johnnie Douglas of Liberty; his stepson Junior Pennington (Virginia) of Columbia; and his siblings, Bobby Douglas of Liberty, Russell Douglas of Liberty and Mary Lou Pittman of Liberty. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
