He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ellis and Mary Ocie Gaskin Thomas; his wife Glenodine Holt Thomas; and his siblings, C. L. Thomas, Earl Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, Joyce Bunch and Fay Wade.
He is survived by: his children, Carthel Thomas of Russell Springs, Kenneth Thomas of North Carolina and Sunny DeBaun of Ohio.
