He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ashby and Alma Cooksey Ashby; his brother Henry Ashby; and his nephew James Ashby. He is survived by: his daughter Christina Ellison; his wife Patricia Wells Ashby; his daughters, Katrinia Ashby and Anissa Cross (Darnel); his brothers, James Ashby and Steve Ashby (Cynthia); and his uncles, Wendal Hines and Roy Wells. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
